To Report Severe Weather...
If you know of severe weather that has occurred recently, we would like to hear from you.
Specifically, we are interested in:
- Tornadoes
- Hail with a diameter of 0.75" or more (penny-sized)
- Winds 58 mph or more (or significant damage caused by high winds)
- Snowfall greater than 7 inches in 24 hours.
- Any other weather related threat to life or property
Important: If the severe weather has ocurrred within the past two hours:
- Registered spotters: CALL THE SPOTTER PHONE NUMBER.
- All others: CALL US HERE AT THE NWS OFFICE AT: (207) 496-8931.
Less time sensitive reports can be sent via e-mail.

Information to include in your report:
Your name and phone number, or e-mail address
Location: County and town
Time: Local time of occurrence with the date
What occurred: wind/tornado damage, flooding, and/or diameter of hail
