How to become
a Spotter?
The National
Weather Service in Cleveland conducts several Skywarn weather spotter
training classes each spring. The classes are held March through
May each year. We normally hold at least once class in every county.
To become a
Skywarn spotter, you must attend one of these training sessions.
No pre-registration is necessary, just show up at the training.
You will be enrolled in the Skywarn program at the training class.
You will be issued a spotter number and given spotter information.
Training dates,
locations and times are posted on our web page. The spring schedule
is normally posted in late winter. Check our spotter
class schedule for the training nearest you.
Thank you for
your interest in the Skywarn program. I hope to see you at one of
our training sessions.
