Snow Network News

Welcome to the web page of the Gray NWS Snow spotter network.

Feel free to browse our web pages to learn more about the Gray NWS spotter programs. We are currently accepting new spotters into our snow network. The areas most in need of new spotters are in the following counties. However, we will cheerfully accept new spotters from any location in our county warning area.

  • Coos
  • Franklin
  • Lincoln
  • Oxford
  • Somerset

All new spotters will be welcomed as Snow Spotters, and will be responsible for reporting any observed severe weather, damage, as well as significant snowfall amounts during major winter weather events.

Several links below will assist you in the proper measurement and reporting of winter weather events.

If you're interested in becoming a Snow Spotter, go to the Volunteer section to find contact information or fill out our registration form.
