Safe Boating Week 2008

2008 Safe Boating Week

May 17-23

 

In an effort to promote safe boating, National Safe Boating Week has been designated from May 17-23, 2008.

During Safe Boating Week, the National Weather Service in cooperation with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and the United States Power Squadron will issue Safe Boating Week messages. New statements will be issued as Public Information Statements and they will air on NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards each day during Safe Boating Week. The safety messages can be heard approximately every twenty to thirty minutes during the broadcast cycle.
