...LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS... THE FOLLOWING IS A
SAFE BOATING MESSAGE FROM THE LONG BAY POWER SQUADRON
Just as we should not start a road trip without a current map, we should never start a boating trip without a
current chart. Charts are expensive but can be kept current and therefore useful for long periods of time
if you keep them up to date. This can be done by using Local Notice To Mariners, a service of the USCG.
The web site is: www.navcen.uscg.gov. By clicking on the Local Notice to Mariners and selecting your section
of the coast, updates can be downloaded or read using Adobe.
The information includes changes to Aids To Navigation, marine construction, shoaling, hazardous situations,
bridge repair, drawbridge status, dredging and much more. Keep your charts current...use Local Notice To Mariners.
THIS MESSAGE WAS
BROUGHT TO YOU BY... THE LONG BAY POWER SQUADRON ...YOU'RE IN
COMMAND. BOAT RESPONSIBLY!... $$ |
