Additional notes
|
An intense winter storm tracked across the Midwest on December 8 and
9. This storm produced widespread blizzard conditions across parts of
the Missouri and Mississippi Valleys, and widespread severe
thunderstorms across the Gulf Coast States. As the low tracked into the
Great Lakes, a strong cold front swept through the Ohio Valley, bringing
dropping temperatures and very gusty winds to much of the region. These
winds resulted in numerous downed trees and powerlines, and produced
scattered power outages across much of Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
