Additional notes
A large, healthy tree being uprooted
is consistent with
EF1
tornado damage, with winds between 90 and 100 mph. It may have
taken stronger winds to uproot these bare trees, since foliage makes it
easier to break off limbs or topple trees.
This tornado was a reminder that the Ohio Valley has a secondary severe
weather season, which typically occurs in October and November.
