Powerful straight-line winds caused this sturdy sign to fall over. The winds were estimated near 90 mph, and some nearby locations experienced estimated winds over 100 mph. Wind speeds of this magnitude are similar to an EF0 or EF1 tornado.

Safety Note: S traight-line winds can cause damage similar to a weak tornado. Unlike a tornado however, strong winds can be widespread, and your chances of being impacted are greater than with a tornado.
