This radar image was taken around the time the damage occurred.  The radar echo across western Mercer county exhibits a curved shape, referred to as a bow echo.  Damaging winds often occur at the leading edge of a bow echo, especially at the apex, or where it pushes outward the most.  The apex of this bow echo moved across northern Mercer County, where the damage occurred.
