Flash flooding is an extremely dangerous situation and should be reported to the National Weather Service immediately. Reports are especially needed when roads, homes or businesses are affected. When reporting, state how much water covers a road (if known), if there are any known road closures, or if any evacuations or rescues are underway. In addition, heavy rain in excess of an inch per hour can lead to flash flooding. If you directly measure an inch or more of rain in less than an hour, please pass your report on to the National Weather Service.
