Additional notes

In this photo, a weak gust front from thunderstorm outflow is passing over the photographer. These clouds are the "underbelly" of a weak shelf cloud. Because of the turbulence at the edge of the gust front, these clouds exhibited sporadic rotation and upward motion. This led to several erroneous reports of rotating wall clouds and funnel clouds from this system. Related NWS Product: None
