Additional notes

This photo shows a cumulus congestus cloud over the south side of Dayton, formed by a strong updraft. This updraft is young, evidenced by the lack of an anvil. Notice that the edges of the cloud are very well defined. This implies the updraft is still growing and intensifying. This photo demonstrates the early stage of thunderstorm development.
