The large cumulonimbus cloud in this photo is from a thunderstorm southwest of Springfield, about 27 miles southeast of the photographer. This storm was responsible for numerous downed trees and power lines near Enon. The hard edges of the storm on the left side indicate a new updraft, and suggest the storm is building northward.
