THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS CONFIRMED A
TORNADO NEAR 1 E NEW KNOXVILLE IN AUGLAIZE COUNTY OHIO ON JUNE
13 2013.

THE TORNADO FIRST TOUCHED DOWN ON THE NORTH SIDE OF STATE ROUTE
219 EAST OF NEW KNOXVILLE. AS IT TRACKED TO THE EAST-
SOUTHEAST...MINOR DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE
ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING AT THE NEIL ARMSTRONG AIRPORT. A LARGE
AMOUNT OF SHEET METAL AND TREE LIMBS HAD BEEN DEPOSITED ON THE
RUNWAY. FURTHER ALONG THE PATH...THERE WAS DAMAGE TO SIX HOUSES
AND THREE BARNS ALONG WITH TREES UPROOTED. ONE BARN WAS 80 PERCENT
DESTROYED. AT THE END OF THE TORNADO TRACK...A DOUBLE-WIDE MOBILE
HOME WAS PICKED UP AND TOSSED 100 FEET TO THE NORTH ON ITS SIDE.

OTHER DAMAGE SURVEYED AROUND AUGLAIZE COUNTY...INCLUDING TREES
DOWNED...SHINGLES REMOVED FROM ROOFS AND MINOR STRUCTURAL
DAMAGE...ALL APPEARED TO BE CAUSE BY STRAIGHT-LINE (NON-
TORNADIC) WINDS.
