How to become a Snow Spotter?

Email Mary Jo Parker at mary.parker@noaa.gov to express interest in becoming a Snow Spotter.  You may also sign up when you attend one of our Spring Severe Weather spotter classes.  Once you are signed up, then you will receive a letter before the winter season.  This letter will have some instructions on how and where to measure snowfall.  These letters will be sent out each fall as a refresher on how to measure snow and when the information would be appreciated.  Information regarding how much snow had fallen will be placed near the top of our webpage.

Thank you for your interest in the Snow Spotter program. We look forward to hearing from you this winter season.
