Photos,

Looking downstream on the West Branch Susquehanna
River from US Route 144 bridge at Renovo. Shore ice can be seen on
both sides of the river. This is the remains of a solid ice cover
which broke apart and moved downstream February 22-24. The river
remained open from Renovo upstream to Karthaus.
Looking south across the West Branch Susquehanna
River about 5 miles downstream of Renovo. Shore ice extending
outward from both sides covered nearly 2/3 of the river.
Looking upstream on the West Branch Susquehanna
River several miles upstream of Lock Haven. A solid ice cover
persisted from the dam at Lock Haven to approximately 7 miles
upstream.
Looking downstream on the West Branch Susquehanna
River from the Jay Street bridge at Lock Haven. A solid ice cover
persisted from well upstream of Lock Haven to the dam. Notice the
open water just below the dam. The river remained open from this
point to Williamsport.
Looking downstream on Pine Creek from the
Tiadaughton Drive bridge between US Route 220 and the West Branch
Susquehanna River. A solid ice cover persisted from this point
upstream to Waterville.
