Synopsis for Eastern North Carolina
High pressure will remain over the area through Monday. A coastal trough will move onshore Monday night. A complicated pattern is expected Tuesday and Wednesday as tropical cyclone Ida in the Gulf of Mexico interacts with a strong cold front moving through the eastern United States.
