LOW RISK OF RIP CURRENTS Wind and/or wave conditions are not expected to support the development of rip currents. However, rip currents can sometimes occur, especially in the vicinity of groins, jetties, and piers. Know how to swim and heed the advice of the beach patrol.
MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS Wind and/or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents. Only experienced surf swimmers should enter the water.
HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS Wind and/or wave conditions support dangerous rip currents. Rip currents are life-threatening to anyone entering the surf.

Outlooks for the day

The Local Weather Hazardss graphics are VALID FOR A 24 HOUR PERIOD from the time of issuance. The graphics will be issued daily between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., and remain valid until 6 a.m. the next day. Afternoon updates will be posted as time permits. As the weather threat increases throughout the day, or becomes imminent, Watches and Warnings will be issued. The highest possible threat for the day will be highlighted for each county. On some maps multiple threats may be represented.
