The operations area is where our forecasters perform most of their daily tasks. It is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Duties performed here include the the issuance of severe weather warnings and forecasts for our county warning area, and our marine zones. As you can see from the plethora of computer screens throughout the operations area, meteorologists here make use of a variety high-tech tools to make their forecasts.
