A stalled front will remain in the vicinity into Thursday. A cold front will then slowly approach from the west Thursday, then move into western portions of the tri-state Thursday night. A wave of low pressure develops along this slow moving cold front Friday, remains just east of the region Saturday, and then tracks north along the New England Coast on Sunday. High pressure over the Great Lakes builds southeast across the area Monday into Tuesday. A warm front will then approach from the southwest by mid week.  See Full Discussion
