    On this date in weather history...
    In 1983, a heavy snow falls with 32 inches at Shepherdstown, 28 inches at Charles Town, and 26 inches at Martinsburg. Heaviest snow in a 24 hour period for Martinsburg and Charles Town. The 14.4 inches at Beckley was also the most in 24 hours.
