FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SW VA...UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
1201 AM EDT WED APR 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...
MUCH DRIER AIR ARRIVES OVERNIGHT AS THE FRONT MOVES FURTHER EAST.
COLDER TEMPERATURES ARE HERE FOR A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE WE START
GRADUALLY WARMING TOWARD NORMAL AGAIN THURSDAY. STRONG NORTHWEST
WINDS SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH ABOUT MIDNIGHT AND THEN DIMINISH
WITH HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING IN FROM THE WEST. DRY WEATHER CONTINUES
THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY UNDER LIGHTER EASTERLY WINDS AS THE RIDGE
BUILDS TO THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST. A MAINLY DRY FRONT ENTERS THE AREA
SATURDAY...SO FUELS WILL START TO DRY OUT THROUGH THE END OF THE
WEEKEND. NEXT CHANCE OF SHOWERS WILL BE WITH A FRONT NEXT MONDAY
OR TUESDAY.
