FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SW VA...SE WV AND NW NC
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
312 PM EST THU NOV 27 2014

.DISCUSSION...
WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO STAY UP TONIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS
AND COLDER AIR MOVING IN KEEPS A DEEPER MIXED LAYER OVER THE
REGION...AND GENERATES SOME SNOW SHOWERS ALONG THE FAR WESTERN
SLOPES OF THE BLUE RIDGE. QUIET AND DRY WEATHER IS ON TAP FOR
THE WEEKEND...BUT CONDITIONS WILL GET WINDY FOR SUNDAY AND SUNDAY
NIGHT...ESPECIALLY ON THE RIDGES...AS HIGH PRESSURE SLIDES OFF TO
OUR SOUTHEAST AND LOW LEVEL WINDS INCREASE ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE
HIGH FROM THE SOUTHWEST.
