CURRENT HYDROLOGIC CONDITIONS

CURRENT FLOOD/FLASHFLOOD WATCHES, WARNINGS AND STATEMENTS

  • Flood/Flash Flood Watch :  A Flood Watch is issued when flooding of creeks and streams is expected to develop sometime over the next 24 hours.
  • Flash Flood Warning :  Issued when rapid increases of water levels along creeks, streams, and non main-stem rivers is imminent, creating a serious threat to life and property.
  • Flood Warning   Flooding that does not occur rapidly and lasts longer than 6 hours. This product can be issued for flooding along creeks as well as main-stem rivers.
  • Flash Flood Statement :  Issued to update conditions during a Flash Flood Warning.
  • Flood Statement :  Issued to update conditions during a Flood Warning. Also used to provide information about areas of heavy rain.
