            *** 1 INJ *** TWO ELBERT COUNTY OFFICES CALLED THIS 
            MORNING TO REPORT NUMEROUS TREES DOWN AROUND ELBERTON 
            FROM THE STORM LATE THURSDAY WHICH PRODUCED POWER OUTAGES 
            THAT LASTED A FEW HOURS. TWO STRUCTURES WERE REPORTED 
            DAMAGED. THERE WAS ONE REPORTED INJURY CAUSED FROM A TREE 
            FALLING ONTO A TRUCK WHERE THE OCCUPANT WAS KNOCKED 
            UNCONSCIOUS FOR	SOME TIME. THE INJURY MAY HAVE OCCURRED 
            ALONG HIGHWAY 368 NORTH OF ELBERTON. COUNTY OFFICIALS AND 
            WEATHER SERVICE AGREE THIS WAS STRAIGHT LINE WIND DAMAGE.

            BY THE STORM NEAR LAKE SECESSION. MOST OF THE TREES FELL
            EAST OF IVA...BUT SOME TREE DAMAGE ALSO OCCURRED SOUTH OF
            IVA.

            TWO PUBLIC REPORTS OF WIND DAMAGE IN THE CALVERT ROAD
            AREA. THE REPORT OF A BRADFORD PEAR TREE FALLING ON 
            CALVERT ROAD WAS REPORTED BY BOTH THE DEPARTMENT OF
            TRANSPORTATION AND RESIDENTS IN THE AREA. ANOTHER REPORT
            OF SEVERAL OAK LIMBS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER WERE
            RIPPED OUT OF THE CANOPY BY THE THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS.
            THIS REPORT CAME FROM A GREENHOUSE OPERATOR ON THE OLD
            ROSMAN HIGHWAY.

            THE CITY OF TRYON.
