THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST GEORGIA...PIEDMONT
NORTH CAROLINA...WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION FAY WILL MOVE NORTHEAST INTO
THE REGION THIS WEEK. RAINFALL WILL SLOWLY INCREASE IN COVERAGE
AND INTENSITY THROUGH MID WEEK. BY THURSDAY...TOTAL RAINFALL
AMOUNTS COULD REACH 8 INCHES OVER WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...
NORTHEAST GEORGIA...AND THE WESTERN UPSTATE. AMOUNTS DECREASE TO
AROUND 3 INCHES ALONG THE INTERSTATE 77 CORRIDOR. EVEN WITH THE
DROUGHT AND RECORD LOW STREAM LEVELS...RAINFALL OF THESE AMOUNTS
IN THIS PERIOD OF TIME COULD LEAD TO FLOODING. RIGHT NOW...IT IS
STILL TOO EARLY TO TELL WHICH AREAS AND TIME PERIODS ARE MOST AT
RISK. HOWEVER...CONFIDENCE IS INCREASING THAT A SIGNIFICANT
RAINFALL EVENT IS LIKELY. PERSONS ACROSS THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND
NORTHEAST GEORGIA SHOULD KEEP ABREAST OF THE LATEST FORECASTS.
