This page details information of relevance to our network of SKYWARNTM spotters, and ham radio reporters. If you are interested in becoming a spotter, please email us. You do not need to be a spotter to fill out the form to report severe weather below.

What: The First Warn Storm Team and the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg SC will be hosting Skywarn Storm Spotter Training classes Saturday April 26th at UNC Charlotte.

When: The Basic Skywarn Class will begin at 10:00 AM EDT and last until 12:00-12:15 PM EDT. The Advanced Class will start between 12:30 and 12:45 PM EDT and last until around 2:00 PM EDT.

The classes are free.

There are numerous parking lots on the UNCC campus. The two closest garages to the buildings for visitors are the Union Deck and the East Decks. Parking is not enforced on the weekend, so you are free to park anywhere if you find a spot closer.

The class will be taught in the McEniry Science Building, located near the Botanical Gardens. The building is #39 on the map.
