1992 brought one system close to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Danielle developed September 22nd about 175 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras. Danielle moved slowly northeast before making a clockwise loop on the 23rd and 24th and then moved northwest and parallel to the northern Outer Banks. Danielle move inland as a tropical storm late on the 25th over the Delmarva section of Maryland.
