...THE HOT AND DRY SUMMER OF 2012...

THE SUMMER OF 2012 WILL BE NOTED FOR THE ABUNDANCE OF
HEAT...PARTICULARLY DURING JUNE AND JULY...AND FOR THE LACK OF
WIDESPREAD BENEFICIAL RAINFALL EVENTS. AUGUST CONTAINED A FEW
PERIODS OF BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WHICH HELPED DAMPEN THE
OVERALL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE SUMMER. THUNDERSTORMS WERE HIT
AND MISS FOR MUCH OF THE SUMMER AND POINT RAINFALL TOTALS ARE
DEFINITELY NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ENTIRE REGION. NOW THAT
METEOROLOGICAL SUMMER (JUNE...JULY...AUGUST) HAS WRAPPED
UP...HERE ARE A FEW STATISTICS FOR OUR THREE MAIN CLIMATE SITES.
