Low pressure moved northeast through the Ohio Valley early on the morning of Monday, February 28. A cold front passed through the region, interacting with an airmass that was unseasonably warm and moist for late winter. This weather system produced widespread heavy rainfall and severe weather, as a squall line moved east through the forecast area.
