...SUMMARY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS CONFIRMED A
TORNADO 4 MILES SOUTH OF GROVEPORT IN FRANKLIN COUNTY OHIO ON
APRIL 20 2011.

DAMAGE WAS FIRST OBSERVED AT THE WESTERN END OF LONDON-LANCASTER
ROAD JUST EAST OF RICKENBACKER AFB. ABOUT 3/4 OF THE ROOF WAS
REMOVED FROM A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE IN THAT AREA. DAMAGE WAS
NEXT OBSERVED FARTHER EAST ON PONTIUS ROAD JUST NORTH OF LONDON-
LANCASTER ROAD. ONE POWER POLE WAS SNAPPED AT THE BASE... AND
SEVERAL OTHERS BENT OVER TOWARD THE EAST. A LARGE STORAGE SHED
CONSTRUCTED OF WOOD FRAME WITH METAL SHEETING WAS DESTROYED EXCEPT
FOR ONE WALL LEFT PARTIALLY STANDING. THE DEBRIS WAS STREWN EAST
FOR ALMOST 200 YARDS... AND REMAINDED CONFINED TO A PATH NO WIDER
THAN 100 YARDS. TOWARD THE END OF THE PATH... ROOF DAMAGE WAS
OBSERVED ON A RICHARDSON ROAD RESIDENCE JUST NORTH OF LANCASTER
ROAD.

A NUMBER OF TREES WERE ALSO UPROOTED AND BROKEN IN THIS PATH. THIS
TORNADO WAS EMBEDDED IN A WIDER STRAIGHT LINE WIND FIELD THAT
ALSO CAUSED TREE DAMAGE OUTSIDE OF THE TORNADO PATH.
