| Winter Weather Advisory Criteria for Winter 2012-13 |
Effective for the 2012-13 winter season, the National Weather Service in Wilmington OH has decided to
change the official snow criteria for Winter Weather Advisories for the northern half of our forecast
area from 4" to 3". This area is depicted in the attached map in blue, and includes both Dayton and Columbus.
After receiving feedback from our emergency management and media partners, we learned that advisory-level
conditions were occurring with about 3" of snow in this area.
