From the Capital Beltway (Interstate 495):

• Take Interstate 495 exit 45, Dulles Toll Road (VA Rte. 267 - Local Exits) west towards Reston/Herndon
  
• Proceed approximately 10 miles west on VA Rte. 267, then take exit 9B, VA Route 28 (Sully Rd.) north towards Sterling.
  
• Proceed approximately 1 mile north on VA Rte. 28, then take the exit for VA Route 606 (Old Ox Rd.) West towards Rte. 50.
  
• Proceed approximately 3.0 miles west on VA Rte. 606 (Old Ox Rd.), and look on the left for Thunder Rd. and the NOAA sign.
  
• Take a left onto Thunder Rd.
  
• Proceed on Thunder Rd. until it dead ends at Weather Service Rd.
  
• Take a right on Weather Service Rd.
  
• Proceed on Weather Service Rd for 0.5 miles, and then take a right into the driveway of the WFO.

From Interstate 66:

• Take Interstate 66 exit 53, VA Rte. 28 (Sully Rd.) north towards Sterling.
  
• Proceed approximately 12 miles north on VA Rte. 28, then take the exit for VA Route 606 (Old Ox Rd.) West towards Rte. 50.
  
• Proceed approximately 3.5 miles west on VA Rte. 606 (Old Ox Rd.), and look on the left for Thunder Rd. and the NOAA sign.
  
• Take a left onto Thunder Rd.
  
• Proceed on Thunder Rd. until it dead ends at Weather Service Rd.
  
• Take a right on Weather Service Rd.
  
• Proceed on Weather Service Rd for 0.5 miles, and then take a right into the driveway of the WFO.
