Here is an example of a time-series dataset. In this case, we are looking at the data from the USGS streamflow gaging station at the Colorado River at Lees Ferry, Arizona. The hydrograph shows the daily mean discharge for the years 1943 through 1945. Some patterns seen in the data are the summer high flows cause by snowmelt waters flowing down from the Rocky Mountains.
