Vision
The Ohio River Forecast Center is recognized as a center of hydrologic
expertise working with our partners and customers to:
- Minimize loss of life and property damage from flooding
- Meet the water service needs of our Nation
Mission Statement
The Ohio River Forecast Center (OHRFC) produces timely and accurate
water forecasts and information to support the National Weather Service,
customers, and partners, using the best scientific principles to integrate
and model water, weather, and climate information. The Ohio River
Forecast Center works with its partners to develop and implement
improved procedures to enhance forecast services.
