On this date in weather history... In 1972, the remnants of Hurricane Agnes caused flooding from the 19th through to the 24th of June. Small streams near White Sulpher Springs and Caldwell overflow their banks. There was mainstem river flooding on the Potomac and Shenandoah. The gage at Harpers Ferry reached 30 feet.
