Area Weather Summary Archive - access to past Area Weather Summaries
(cooperative observations) since March 9, 2005 Storm DataNEW! These reports (in PDF format) are summaries of severe and unusual weather in NWS Charleston's 49 county area of responsibility. They offer tables and narrative descriptions of severe storm observation and effects. These are generally available 2 to 3 months after the month in question. Remember that this information cannot be used for official purposes, such as court cases. For official, certified severe weather observations, refer to the Storm Data publication prepared by the National Climatic Data Center. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view these files. If you do not have this program installed, you can download it from this page. We recommend saving the files below to your hard drive by right-clicking on the links below and selecting "Save Target As" or "Save Link As," and then opening the file.
