Forecasting Short Term Snowfall using Ensembled Model Soundings.
The goal of this page is to provide a web based interface that allows
forecasters to assimilate a larger dataset of model guidance and forecasts,
using an ensembled approach.
The site provides Snow Ratio, Quantitative
Precipitation Forecast (QPF), Temperature and Quantitative
Snowfall (QSF), as derived from a variety numerical models. The models
included in this dataset are, the 21 member SREF, NAM, RAP.
In addition, two locally run models at NWSFO Charleston are included.
This dataset compares previous model run with current models that allows
forecasters to guage model trends. This page is provided for informational
purposes only. You can obtain official NWS forecasts by clicking here.
