NOAA Weather Radio ScheduleDuring Fair Weather Hourly Weather Conditions- Hourly Conditions are updated every
hour of every day on NOAA Weather Radio between 10 and 20 minutes after
the hour. Short Term Forecasts- Short term forecasts are placed on NOAA
Weather Radio during precipitation events and when certain types of weather
may or will produce a hazard to people. Such types of weather include
dense fog, high wind and extreme heat/cold. These are updated as frequently
as every hour during rapidly changing conditions. 4:45 AM: Zone forecast updated 8:30 - 10:30 AM: Report of yesterday's highs, overnight lows, and 24 hour precipitation from reporting stations in West Virginia 10:30 AM: Zone forecast updated 11:00 AM every Wed: NOAA Weather Radio tone alert test 4:30 PM: Zone forecast updated 8:30 - 11:00 PM: Report of overnight lows, today's highs, and
24 hour precipitation from reporting stations in West Virginia During Significant Weather A NOAA weather radio tone alert signal is activated when any of the following
will affect at least one county in the listening area: Tornado Watch/Warning Also during significant weather, the NOAA Weather radio cycle is abbreviated in many cases to allow room for warnings, special weather statements or other important information to be broadcasted.
