Run Times:
The model is run every 3rd hour to a forecast time of 18 hours. The table below describes model start times and which files are used for each model run:

LAPS analysis is performed each hour at :20 minutes. There are 42 levels and a resolution of 5 km. The LAPS analysis uses the RUC20 to for its background fields, and is available about 10 minutes prior to the model start time.

The model is run on an 8 CPU 64 bit Linux cluster (1.8 GHZ). Total system memory is 8GB. The model domain is 156x295 with a resolution of 5 km.

Post processing is completed on an additional dual processor Linux PC (2.0 GHZ) for display of model information on AWIPS.
