Tornado and Damaging Wind Safety

• Get underground. For example a basement.

• If an underground shelter is not available, get on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, putting as many walls between you and the outside as possible.

• Avoid windows, doors and outside walls. Cover your head to protect yourself from flying debris.

• Mobile homes and vehicles should be abandoned for more substantial shelter.
