FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SW VA...SE WV AND NW NC
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
303 PM EDT SAT OCT 25 2014

.DISCUSSION...

...ENHANCED FIRE DANGER SUNDAY...

EXPECT A COLD FRONT TO SLIDE SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE AREA BY LATE
TONIGHT. THREAT OF ANY WET WEATHER IS VERY LOW...CHANCE FOR A
WETTING RAIN IS ZERO....WITH ONLY ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE OVER
THE MOUNTAINS OF WEST VIRGINIA...DOWN INTO THE NORTH CAROLINA HIGH
COUNTRY.

THEN SUNDAY...WINDS WILL PICK UP OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AND GUST
OVER 30 MPH AT TIMES. COMBINED WITH DRIER AIR COMING IN...AND THE
FACT THAT RAINFALL HAS BEEN LIMITED THE PAST WEEK...FUELS WILL DRY
OUT FASTER...AND THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ENHANCED FIRE DANGER.

THE AIRMASS WILL BE STAYING DRY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK THOUGH THE
FLOW TURNS MORE SOUTHERLY...AHEAD OF THE NEXT FRONT TRACKING INTO
THE REGION BY WEDNESDAY.
