NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
359 AM EDT TUE SEP 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...

A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL SLIDE EAST ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING BEFORE
STALLING OVER THE CAROLINAS INTO TONIGHT. THIS MAY BRING A FEW SHOWERS
TO WESTERN AREAS THIS MORNING AND ACROSS SOUTHERN AND EASTERN SECTIONS
THIS AFTERNOON. WEAK LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE FRONT MAY ALSO CAUSE
SHOWERS TO LINGER ACROSS THE SOUTH INTO TONIGHT BEFORE A COOL WEDGE OF
HIGH PRESSURE SETTLES INTO THE REGION LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THE END OF
THE WEEK. THIS SHOULD KEEP HUMIDITY LEVELS MOIST INTO FRIDAY WITH PATCHY
DRIZZLE AROUND AT TIMES. THE HIGH STRENGTHENS ALONG THE MID ATLANTIC COAST
BY THE WEEKEND WITH DRIER AIR WORKING IN FROM THE NORTHEAST BY SATURDAY.
