THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
  AREAS...CHARLESTON...COASTAL COLLETON... DORCHESTER...INLAND
  BERKELEY...INLAND COLLETON AND TIDAL BERKELEY.

* THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING

* SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP
  OVERNIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING AND AFFECT PORTIONS OF
  CHARLESTON...BERKELEY...DORCHESTER AND COLLETON COUNTIES.
  BETWEEN 4 AND 8 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER PORTIONS OF THESE
  COUNTIES SINCE EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON WHICH RESULTED IN
  SIGNIFICANT FLASH FLOODING IN SOME LOCATIONS. ANY ADDITIONAL
  HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING COULD RESULT IN RENEWED
  FLASH FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE PREPARED TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS
PRONE TO FLOODING. IF FLOODING DEVELOPS...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON NC HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...

  WESTERN HORRY COUNTY IN NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA

* UNTIL 315 AM EDT

* AT 109 AM EDT THUNDERSTORMS TRAINING ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA WERE
PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL. RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL RATES WITHIN
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE AROUND TWO INCHES PER HOUR...AND 2 TO 3
INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN JUST WEST OF CONWAY TONIGHT. WHILE THESE
STORMS ARE MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST...AN ADDITIONAL 2 INCHES
OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE...WHICH WILL PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING AND
SIGNIFICANT PONDING ON ROADWAYS.

* LOCATIONS IN THE ADVISORY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO AYNOR...
  BUCKSPORT...CONWAY...BAYBORO...HICKORY GROVE...HOMEWOOD...HORRY...
  DONGOLA...BUCKSVILLE...ADRIAN AND PEE DEE CROSSROADS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. THE WATER DEPTH WILL BE HARD TO DETERMINE ALONG
ROADS...AND THE LOCATION OF THE ADJACENT DRAINAGE DITCHES WILL BE
DIFFICULT TO IDENTIFY. KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM STREAMS...CREEKS AND
DITCHES. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
